Terms & Conditions for Ticket Sales

By purchasing these tickets you are entering an agreement with the UK Student Paramedic Conference (“The Organisers”), you agree to the following terms and conditions of purchase and use:

 

  • Each of the parties to this Agreement agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and decide any suit, action or proceedings, and/or to settle any disputes, which may arise out of or in connection with this Agreement or its formation or validity and, for these purposes, each party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  • Nothing in this agreement impacts on your statutory rights.

  • The terms of this contract are independent of each other, if any of the terms of this agreement are deemed to be invalid or unenforceable it will not affect the validity of any other terms. Any invalid, illegal or unenforceable terms shall be deemed replaced by a term or provision that is valid and enforceable and that comes closest to expressing the intention of the invalid, illegal or unenforceable term or provision.

  • For the purposes of this agreement any correspondence must be sent by email to info@student-paramedic-conference.co.uk or in writing to “UK Student Paramedic Conference, Hertfordshire Students’ Union, Elehouse Resource Centre, College Lane, HATFIELD, Hertfordshire, AL10 9AB”.

  • We reserve the right to make changes to this contract, if we make any material modifications we will inform you by the email address you have given us, giving you 14 days to accept or reject the changes. In the event that you reject them we will give you a full refund and you will not be entitled to attend the event. If you do not reply to any email within 14 days of delivery, you shall be deemed to have accepted the changes.

 

  • Please bring your ticket along to the event. If you don’t we reserve the right to deny entry.

  • Paper tickets remain the property of the organisers.

  • We reserve the right to refuse admission in reasonable circumstances or to request any ticket holder to leave the venue and take appropriate action to enforce this right.

  • Please turn off any mobile phones, pagers, digital watch alarms or other such noise making devices. We reserve the right to ask you to turn off the devices or leave the event if they cause a disturbance.

 

  • Refunds are available up to 14 days before the event takes place, subject to an administration fee of £5, which will be taken out of the total amount refunded to you. This is to cover our costs in providing the refund.

  • You may not sell or transfer any tickets without prior written agreement from the organisers and we may ask to see some identification to check that tickets have not been transferred. In the event that we agree to a transfer, you must not make a profit from the transaction and we may make enquiries to satisfy this before agreeing to transfer the ticket.

 

  • The organisers reserve the right to change or modify the program or venue without prior agreement, to cover any unforeseen events that may occur. We also reserve the right to cancel the event; if we cancel for a reason within our control you will be entitled to a full refund.

  • We shall not be liable for failure to deliver should the failure be due to a cause outside of our control, including but not limited to acts of nature, war, terrorism, sabotage, fire, explosion, flood, action of any governmental authority, embargo, unavailability of raw materials supply, strike or labour dispute (except of the workforce of the party claiming force majeure). We will inform you as soon as practicable, but in no case later than 7 days of us becoming aware of this event. We will endeavour to reschedule the event in this case.

  • You will not be entitled to any additional costs or expenses, including but not limited to extra accommodation or travel costs, arising from a change of program or the event needing to be cancelled or postponed part-way through. We will not accept liability for any consequential losses that may occur.

  • The organisers are not liable, to the extent permitted by law, for any injury, thefts, damage or losses that may occur whilst you are attending the event.

 

  • The organisers reserve the right to inspect any student or other membership cards that entitle you to a discount, please bring them along with you. We may charge you the extra fee, as well as a £10 administration charge, to change the ticket type on the day.

  • If you are subject to a College of Paramedics (CoP) discount, you agree that we may contact the CoP to ensure that you are a member.

  • The student rate is for students studying on a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) approved program leading to registration as a paramedic or for students studying at a further or higher education institute, and for those who graduated or finished an HCPC approved paramedic program in the year 2014.

 

  • Unauthorised use of video recording and photography may result in ejection from the event.

  • You agree to the filming or recording of the event and any broadcast that may result from this.

  • UKSPC is not required to charge VAT and therefore  you will not have to pay VAT for the tickets.

  • All payment must be made through the Eventzilla service, we accept payment by paypal, credit or debit card. You agree to their terms and conditions of use.

  • Unless you opt out, either when purchasing the ticket, or by informing us, we reserve the right to pass your personal data, including but not limited to names and mail addresses, to carefully selected third parties.
